The Eden Valley is a place of big and dramatic skies. The valley lies in the north of England, not far below the Scottish border, and we experience huge shifts in the weather, often in the space of one day. In this painting, I worked to capture the shifting skies, which can move from storms to sunshine and back again, before finishing with flame-orange sunsets.
