This painting is one of a pair that were made at the same time. It emerged quite organically over a period of a few weeks, as Spring was arriving in the UK. I didn’t mean to paint Spring, but I accidentally did! These two paintings lift my spirits whenever I look at them as they contain that feeling of the potential of Spring.
