This painting is one of a the most recent in the show. It was begun in 2025, but only finished in the last few weeks, as I finally decided to take some big risks and change everything I had been doing. For me, this painting is about a new beginning - but one that has been hard-fought and is therefore all the more sweet.
The painting is on a wooden panel which has been built up with layers of paint and collage. The layers have been sanded back many times, creating interest and patina close-up.
